News Network (Correspondent: Zheng Lefeng) On October 12, the Symposium on Red Cross "Digital Emblem" and Current Issues in International Humanitarian Law was held at Wuhan University.
During the session for releasing the research report on the Red Cross "Digital Emblem" , Huang Zhixiong from Wuhan University gave a report titled "The Red Cross, Red Crescent, and Red Crystal 'Digital Emblem’ Project: Origins, Challenges, and Future Action Recommendations," proposing initiatives for promoting the "Digital Emblem" project in both China and internationally. Subsequently, attendees unveiled the research report, marking its official release.
In the discussion session on "Digital Emblem" led by Professor Deng Lie from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, speakers including Yao Jiankang shared insights from technological, legal, and practical perspectives on the "Digital Emblem" issue. Additionally, the seminar featured two parallel sessions where experts and scholars engaged in in-depth discussions on frontier issues related to international humanitarian law in the digital age.
The seminar invited over 40 experts and scholars from practical departments and universities to discuss the latest research findings on the "Digital Emblem," providing theoretical and practical support for governance in cyberspace and research on international humanitarian law, and contributing to the adaptation of international humanitarian efforts to the developments of the digital age.
