[Academic Dynamics] The Changjiang Forum on "Empowering Industrial Innovation and Development through Digital Intelligence" and the Inaugural Meeting of the Data Intelligence and Industrial Innovation Committee Held at Wuhan University

News Network (Correspondents: Zhou Fanqian, Mao Jin) On September 28, the Changjiang Forum on "Empowering Industrial Innovation and Development through Digital Intelligence" and the inaugural meeting of the Data Intelligence and Industrial Innovation Committee of the China Information Economics Society were held at Wuhan University.

Xiao Jinghua pointed out that data intelligence, as a new driver of information economic development, is reshaping industrial innovation models. The committee aims to build a bridge for academic research and industry development in information economics, establishing benchmarks for industrial innovation and transformation. It will serve as an important think tank to promote the digital and intelligent transformation of Chinese industries, contributing to the establishment of a modern economic system and achieving high-quality industrial development.

Zhang Falin stated that the digital economy and data intelligence occupy a core position in the new era. He introduced Wuhan University's cutting-edge achievements in training talent and interdisciplinary integration in the field of "Digital Humanities" and expressed hope that the committee would facilitate collaboration between industry and academia, providing a cradle for talent development and industrial innovation.

Wang Xiaoguang noted that, as an important base for data intelligence research and education, School of Information Management of Wuhan University will continue to promote scientific research innovation and talent cultivation. It is committed to theoretical breakthroughs and practical applications, actively responding to national strategic needs, and promoting local industrial transformation and upgrading.

Professor Li Gang from Wuhan University reported on the committee's work, introducing the background and necessity of its establishment, its business scope and tasks, as well as its composition. He stated that the committee will build a core technical system of "data + computing power + algorithms" to drive the integration of the industrial chain, value chain, supply chain, and innovation chain.

The committee was officially approved for establishment in July 2024, aiming to promote the foundational theoretical system and methodology of data intelligence, empowering local industrial transformation and high-quality economic development.

In the first report of the Changjiang Forum on "Empowering Industrial Innovation and Development through Digital Intelligence", Xiao Jinghua presented a speech titled "Human-AI Collaboration in Promoting Digital Transformation and High-Quality Development of Enterprises," exploring from a practical perspective how AI can drive the digital transformation of enterprises and contribute to high-quality development. Zhang Zhengfeng, General Manager of Beijing WanFang Software Co., Ltd., delivered a report titled "Activating the Value of Data Elements to Empower the Development of New Productive Forces—Practical Applications of WanFang's Industrial Technology Innovation Service Platform," emphasizing the importance of activating data element value through service. Pei Lei presented a report titled "Technology Empowering High-Quality Development of the Digital Economy—Addressing the Complexity of Policy Processes: Methodological Interventions and Practical Insights from Policy Simulation," analyzing the complexity and foreseeability dilemmas in the policy intelligence processing process and discussing how policy simulation methods can effectively intervene and provide practical insights.

In the second session, Huang Minxue, Wang Yuefen, and Yao Nengwei presented reports titled "Research on Decision-Making Models Enhanced by Human-Machine Collaboration in Smart Scenarios," "Factors Influencing Patent Technology Transfer Under the TOE Framework and Their Spatial Heterogeneity: A Case Study of China's Biopharmaceutical Industry," and "Cognitive Computing Practice Based on Data and Knowledge Fusion".
