Prof. Feng Guo was Invited to Attend the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Law Deans Meeting

From November 12 to 13, 2016, the APRU Law Deans Meeting was held in Hangzhou. Prof. Feng Guo, Dean of the School of Law, was invited to attend the meeting.

Professor Feng Guo gave a keynote speech entitled "How Can Legal Education Face the Future". Professor Feng Guo put forward three views on the comparison between Chinese legal education and foreign legal education: Firstly, the history of Chinese legal education is relatively short; the second is that legal belief is weak and the demand for legal awareness is relatively large; the third is that many of our special systems are determined by our economic system and political system.

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) was established in Los Angeles in 1997 to promote technological, educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation in the Pacific region. The association is made up of 45 elite universities in 16 countries and regions around the Pacific. (School of Law, Zhang Yang)
