Professor Sun Zhigang Explores "Does Mass Media Come to the End?”

On October 28, 2016, Mr. Sun Zhigang, former deputy director of Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute in the United States and former director of the Social Research Center of School of Journalism in Missouri University, delivered an academic report entitled “Does Mass Media Come to the End?” in our School of Journalism and Communication. The lecture was chaired by Professor Lu Shangbin from the School of Journalism and Communication.

 

Professor Sun Zhigang is a well-known scholar in the Chinese communication circle who have studied the development of communication and accomplished great achievements in front-line research. The lecture centered around three aspects: the change of mass communication, the theory of mass communication and the controversy of American scholars on the future development of mass communication, and he expounds on the impact and the new features of mass communication.
