Scholars from Home and Abroad Discuss the Modernization of State Governance

On October 22, 2016, the International Symposium on "Modernization of State Governance and Public Policy Innovation", which was organized by the School of Political Science and Public Administration of WHU, Chinese Public Administration Society, and the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), was held in our school.

During the Symposium, the experts delivered reports on the topics of institutional reform, discretionary power, participatory budgeting, political elites and transformations, the evolution of political reform, local government innovation in China, the Internet plus national strategy, and government differential performance analysis and so on. Professor Rhodes from the Department of Government and International Relations of the University of Southampton in UK, Prof. Gao Xiaoping, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Public Administration Society, Professor Tobin from the Graduate School of Public Administration of Seoul National University in South Korea, Professor Ding Huang, Dean of School of Political Science and Public Administration of WHU delivered keynote speeches from the perspectives of governance theory, governance capacity, governance system, system innovation, government competitiveness and so on.
