China Silk Road Contract Culture Library was Established

 

On April 21, the research group of the National Social Science Fund Major Project "Comparative Study of Contract Documents of Ethnic Groups Unearthed along the Silk Road and Their Chinese Language Counterparts" hold a medium-term working meeting, and those in charge of the sub-project delivered their reports on the research progress.

 

According to statistics, the research group has sorted out up to 80% of the contracts in various languages, they has completed two monographs and produced some authoritative articles. They published some theoretical articles in People Daily and so on, and also completed several papers for international academic conference.

 

The project was established in December 2014, it deals with the role and evolution of contract culture in the economic development and prosperity along the Silk Road. It will also gather national contracts scattered abroad back to China, and reorganize them together with the newly unearthed national contracts, so as to establish a China National Silk Road unearthed contracts database.
