Opening Report Meeting of National Social Science Found Major Projects was Held

On March 27, National Social Science Found Key Project "Financial Transformation and National Financial Capability Governance in Qing Dynasty", which is chaired by professor Chen Feng from the School of History, held its opening report meeting.

Professor Chen Feng reported the content design and research program of this project, he pointed out that this research would explore the relationship between the financial system and national governance with the emphasis of describing the fiscal policy in the Qing Dynasty and its modern institutional transformation, and he believed that finance was the basis for national governance.

The expert group spoke highly of the full preparation made by the project team previously, and they put forward a number of specific recommendations on financial transition process in the Qing Dynasty, hidden finance outside the system, quantitative statistics in the financial history research etc.
