Periodical Literatures Reprint Index: WHU Tops Two Disciplines

On March 29, Academic Achievements Evaluation Research Center of Humanities and Social Sciences of Renmin University of China released the 2015 annual periodical literatures reprint index ranking. The comprehensive index of Library, Information and Archives Management, and Marxist theory of Wuhan University ranked first.

   In addition, in the comprehensive index ranking of secondary colleges in universities, the School of Information Management ranked the first with the score of 0.964193, making it the front runner for six years in a row, and the School of Marxism scored 0.930622, ranking the first for 2 consecutive years.

In 2005, Library, Information and Archives Management of Wuhan University was approved as the only first level discipline of national importance in this field. This discipline ranked first in all three rounds of assessment conducted by the Ministry of Education. Center for the Study of Information Resources of Wuhan University was approved as the Key Humanities and Social Science Research Base of Ministry of Education, and it ranked the top among 98 bases assessment of all disciplines in China in 2012.

In 2015, the School of Marxism was selected national "Exemplary School of Marxism" by the Ministry of Education, and it was named among the first batch of nine "Key Schools of Marxism" by the Central Publicity Department and the Ministry of Education.
