National Social Science Fund "Major Bidding Project Interpreting the Spirit of the Party’s 5th Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee” WHU Tied for First Place in Project Number

 

Recently, the list of National Social Science Fund major bidding project interpreting the spirit of the Party’s 5th plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee has revealed, a total of 38 subjects have been enlisted, among which 4 projects were from Wuhan University, tied for first place with Renmin University of China.


The 4 projects from our university include: “Strategic Research on Driving Innovation Development in China and Cultivating Creative Space” chaired by professor Li Yanping, “Key Issues Research on Expanding Two-way Opening of China’s Financial Industry” chaired by professor Jiang Chun, “Government Data Sharing Countermeasures Study Oriented Towards National Big Data Strategy” chaired by professor Huang Ruhua, “Risk-based Environmental Management Pluralistic Governance System Research” chaired by professor Qin Tianbai.


National Social Science Fund Major Bidding Project is the project category with the highest level, largest funding support, and most authoritative program approved by National Social Science Fund. The average funding for each project amounts 600 thousand to 800 thousand Yuan. Major projects are selected and approved through the form of nationwide open tender, and it is organized three times every year. (Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences)
