Professor Qin Tianbao Elected as Executive Member of IUCN Academy of Environmental Law

 

   

    Recently, the 13th Global Annual Conference of International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) Academy of Environmental Law was held in Indonesia. Distinguished Professor Qin Tianbao from our university, head of the Research Institute of Environmental Law, was elected as the new executive member of the executive committee of this Academy with a tenure of three years. He was the only executive member being elected from Northeast Asia.

    IUCN Academy of Environmental Law is the onlyglobal academic organization on environmental law, and the most authoritative international organization in the environmental law academia, whose members include environmental law teaching and researchingfaculties and research institutions from 185 universities in the world. Executive Committee of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law is the highest authority of the organization, upon which the projects and operation of the Academy are decided. The Committee consists of 13 executive members, amongwhich 10 executive members are elected by all representativesof the Academy. Professor Qin Tianbaohas previously served as a member of the Teaching Guiding Committee of this organization for many years, and now serving as editorial board member of IUCN Academy of Environmental Law Journal.
