The Second Stage of the Special Survey of “Transformation, Upgrading, Improving Quality and Enhancing Efficiency” was Launched

From July 11 to 12, the training session of the survey team for the 2015 Guangdong Manufacturing “Transformation, Upgrading, Improving Quality and Enhancing Efficiency” was held in Guangzhou, unveiling the second stage of an extensive survey. 103 researchers from 4 universities and institutions, namely Wuhan University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, will be divided into 16 research teams, conducting questionnaire survey among 430 enterprises in 17 samples regions in 11 cities of Guangdong.

2015 Guangdong enterprises “Transformation, Upgrading, Improving Quality and Enhancing Efficiency” special survey was conducted jointed by Wuhan University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. It aims to serve government scientific decision-making, improve enterprise management and enhance product quality. The survey involves production, sales, technology innovation, enterprising transformation, quality competitiveness, and human resources among others. It is, therefore, the largest and most substantial field survey of its kind in China.

In the survey training meeting, Professor Cheng Hong, dean of the Quality Development Strategy Research Institute of Wuhan University, deployed work in some key aspects such as staff sampling rules, questionnaire filling and corporate communication as the commander in chief. He also emphasized the importance of quality control and process control during the survey process, and the importance of the introduction of rewards and exit mechanism in order to strengthen the survey effect assessment. Professor Albert Park from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology served as the survey supervisor, he mainly introduced sampling method and process, sampling software operation, questionnaire method, etc. (Quality Development Strategy Research Institute, Wang Pingtian)
