[Academic Conference] Wuhan University Hosts “2025 Luojia Big Data Forum”

On March 23, Wuhan University held the “2025 Luojia Big Data Forum,” bringing together a wide array of experts and scholars from academia and industry to discuss the theme “Industrial Intelligence, Innovation Spaces, and New-Quality Development.”

During the keynote session, Professor Chen Guoqing presented a report titled “Big Data Management Decision Research: Frontiers and New Topics.” He reviewed China’s forward-looking strategic deployment in the field of big data and pointed out that, as big data and artificial intelligence become increasingly integrated, both academic research and industrial development have evolved from mere digitization to intelligent digital transformation.

Professor Li Gang, chief scientist of the National Natural Science Foundation Innovation Research Group (2018), Vice Chair of the Academic Committee of Wuhan University, and Chair of the Subcommittee on Social Sciences, delivered a keynote on “Cognitive Computing-Based Industrial Intelligence.” He highlighted the growing cognitive capacity and generalization abilities of AI, the acceleration of innovative application scenarios, and analyzed the underlying logic and real-world challenges of integrating data intelligence with traditional industries.

In the afternoon session, Professor Huang Minxue, Deputy Director of the Big Data Research Institute and Associate Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University, presided over the forum. Experts including Ma Feicheng and Chen Guoqing engaged in an in-depth discussion on innovative approaches to the integration of intelligent technologies and humanities and social sciences research.

It is reported that the forum was co-hosted by the Big Data Research Institute of Wuhan University and the Intellectual Computing Laboratory for Cultural Heritage, a Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Science under the Ministry of Education. It was academically supported by the School of Information Management, the School of Economics and Management, the Institute for Data Intelligence, and the Industrial Intelligence Innovation Space Lab. Since its inception, the Luojia Big Data Forum has been held successfully for seven consecutive years and is dedicated to building an interdisciplinary platform centered on data-driven paradigms for the development of humanities and social sciences, contributing Wuhan University’s intellectual strength to the development of a self-reliant knowledge system in the new era.
