On March 22, the 4th Chinese Academic Forum on Financial Frontiers and the 8th Luojia Finance Summit were held at Wuhan University. The event was co-hosted by the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University, and organized by the Department of Finance at Wuhan University. Nearly 300 participants, including financial scholars from over 30 universities such as Tsinghua University and Peking University, as well as faculty and student representatives from Wuhan University, attended this academic meeting.
Focusing on cutting-edge issues in Chinese finance, the forum explored topics including fintech, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, and digital finance. It represented both an active pursuit of theoretical innovation and a practical response to national strategic needs.
Nie Jun, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Wuhan University, emphasized in his address that finance, as the core of the modern economy, plays an important role in serving the real economy, preventing financial risks, and deepening financial reform. He pointed out that the forum brought together academic insights to discuss frontier topics such as financial technology and significantly contributed to the development of the finance discipline.
This forum featured 54 thematic presentations covering topics such as macro-finance, financial risk, financial technology, corporate finance, green finance, patient capital, and the development of a multi-layered capital market. These discussions contributed intellectual wisdom and strategic recommendations for the high-quality development of China’s financial sector.
