On September 29, the release ceremony of the Russian version ofthe Historical Position of China's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in the World Anti Fascist Warwas held in the National Research University - Higher School of Economics Saint Petersburg both online and offline. The meeting was hosted by Tajijana Urumontseva, director of the Asia Pacific Research Center of National Research University - Higher School of Economics Saint Petersburg, and Ala Alexeyeva, director of the library of the University. Hu Dekun, distinguished professor at Wuhan University, former president of the Chinese Institute for History of the World War II and honorary president of the China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies of Wuhan University, was invited to make a video speech as the representative of the author of the original book.

Professor Hu Dekun said that this book is China's first book on the history of the Anti Japanese War published in Russia, and it is the result of the joint efforts of Chinese and Russian university scholars. He warmly congratulated the release ceremony of the book. He pointed out that in the world war against fascist aggression, China was the main battlefield for Asia to defeat Japanese fascists, and the Soviet Union was the main battlefield for Europe to defeat German fascists. Both China and the Soviet Union made great contributions to the world's anti fascists with great national sacrifice. However, after the victory of World War II, the western camp, out of the cold war mentality, ignored the historical contributions of China and the Soviet Union in World War II in academic research and World War II commemoration activities, or even deliberately belittled them. The Historical Position of China's Anti Japanese War in the World Anti Fascist War

It is learnt that this book is the final work of the major research project of the Ministry of Education's philosophy and social science research "China and the world during the anti fascist war", which is chaired by Professor Hu Dekun. The main authors are Professor Hu Dekun, Han Yongli and Peng Dunwen. It was published by the Economic Press China in 2013 and listed as the Chinese academic translation project of the National Social Science Foundation in 2015. In May 2020, the book was translated into Japanese by Professor Lv Weiqing's Japanese translation team from Central China Normal University and published in Japan. The book will also be published in Britain, which will be translated by Professor Feng Jieyun's English translation team from the University of International Business and Economics.
