In order to follow the guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the third "Belt and Road" working meeting, and deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, experts from the Yangtze River Civilization and Archaeology Research Institute of Wuhan University went to Aksu, Xinjiang and other places to carry out Archaeological excavations, which will promote the protection and utilization of cultural relics in Aral, Keping County and other places in the region, and give full play to the important role of cultural relics in economy, culture, tourism and social governance.
The Kungang Tomb Group is a mysterious ancient tomb group located in the ancient Tarim River in Alar City, Xinjiang. The discovery of this group of tombs provides a wealth of physical data for the study of the ancient history of Kungang (Alar). According to the identification of the international anthropological authority, this tomb group may have a history of 4,600 years. The teachers and students of our university have excavated and protected the site of the Kungang ancient tombs through on-the-spot investigation. Experts from the Science and Technology Archaeology Research Center have compiled a plan for the display and utilization of the Kungang ancient tombs of the 11th Regiment of the First Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and planned and designed the Kungang Museum. Currently, the construction of the Kungang Museum has completed.
