Professor Qin Tianbao assists the implementation of the "Biosafety Law"

The "Biosafety Law of the People's Republic of China" came into effect on April 15. Professor Qin Tianbao from the Institute of Environmental Law of Wuhan University has many years of research accumulation in this regard, and he conducted a major project of the National Social Science Fund "Research on the Legal Regulations of Biodiversity Conservation under the Overall System View". Following the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, Professor Qin gives full play to the environmental law discipline of Wuhan University, and actively participates in the implementation of the "Biosafety Law". He helped with the publicity of the "Biosafety Law" to all walks of life by publishing papers, giving interviews and lectures, thus contribute to the country's legal development.

On April 1, Qin Tianbao was invited as the only legal expert to participate in the Biosafety Law Implementation Symposium held by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in Beijing. On April 12th, Qin Tianbao published an article "A Milestone in Biosafety Legal Regulation" in thePeople's Daily, interpreting the "Biosafety Law" from an academic perspective. The article explained the significance of the "Biosafety Law", summarized the highlights of the "Biosafety Law", and looked forward to the future development of the biosafety legal system. After the article was forwarded by "xuexi.cn" app, it has been read for nearly 450,000 times.

It is learnt that Qin Tianbao has been engaging in research on biodiversity legal issues including biosafety for a long time, and has achieved fruitful research results, great academic influence and social recognition in this field.
