【Academic Conference】 WHU Hosts the Global Health Youth Leadership Roundtable

Recently, the High-level Seminar on the “Belt And Road Initiative” and "Health Silk Road" was held in Beijing. And the Global Health Institute of our university hosted the parallel session “Global Health Youth Leadership Roundtable”.

Participants shared their views on the youth responsibility and ideas from the perspective of global horizon, ideals and beliefs, subject areas and personal characteristics. They also discussed the training mechanism for youth leadership from problem-oriented, demand-oriented and goal-oriented perspective.

Professor Mao Zongfu from the Global Health Institute of our university proposed that a cross-border, cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary “Global Health Youth Leaders Alliance” that can pull in wisdom of international organizations, government officials, enterprises, universities experts and scholars should be set up, which can help to boost the development of global health youth leaders, advance the sustainable development of global health cause, and jointly promote the development of global health.
