On September 7, 2017, Professor Qin Tianbao of the Research Institute of Environmental Law was invited to attend the meeting with Ms. Christina Pasca Palmer, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
At the meeting, Prof. Qin Tianbao first introduced the progress of domestic legislation on China's implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and then, starting from the perspective of international compliance, he recommended that the Secretariat of the Convention should hold more experience-sharing activities, and that some legislation demonstrations can be made to support national legislation compliance. Other experts and representatives introduced the situation of biodiversity conservation and made relevant recommendations from their respective perspectives.
