From September 27 to 28, the 2016 Doctoral Forum of Environmental Law of Wuhan University was held in the School of Law, WHU. The Forum was sponsored by the Research Institute of Environmental Law, the National "2011" Program Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization, and the Graduate School of Wuhan University. Dozens of PhD students from Wuhan University, Renmin University of China, Jilin University attended this forum.
The academic exchanges of PhD students in this forum can be divided into four parts: "environmental legislation under the green concept", "environmental governance under the green concept", "environmental justice under the green concept”, " harmony and integration of green governance under the global context." Meanwhile, the Forum also invited some well-known environmental law scholars and experts to deliver frontier academic reports. Professor Su Yiyuan from the Department of Law of Chung Hsing University in Taiwan gave a report entitled "Environment and Human Rights - Minamata Convention on Mercury". Prof. Kamiyama from Toyama University gave a lecture entitled "Localization of Law: An Analysis of Japan's Implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)".
