On Oct. 15, Symposium on Li Chonghuai 's Centennial Anniversary and Academic Thought was held in the School of Economics and Management.

    Prof. Pan Min, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. He briefly reviewed Professor Li Chonghuai's academic thoughts and their development. Professor Li Chonghuai has devoted himself to academic research in the field of finance and economy his whole life. He has conducted fruitful researches in the fields of monetary theory, stock economy and the development of socialist market economy in China, and he put forward theories and viewpoints such as the "monetary system with the price index as the standard", “indexation of deposit interest rate”, "non-monetization of gold" and "help the city of Wuhan take off by developing the ‘two wings’ of transport and commodity circulation", which had a significant impact on China's economic and financial reform and development, and greatly promoted the development and innovation of China's financial and market economy theory.
