Recommended by the Chinese government, Professor Huang Zhixiong from the Institute of International Law of Wuhan University was elected the Special Rapporteur of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) cyberspace law working group, helping China and other Asian and African countries to enhance their say in international cyberspace rule-making. Professor Huang is the first Chinese special rapporteur in this working group.
In addition, during the 25th Session of the UN Commission on Crime and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) convention held from May 23 to 27, AALCO organized the conference entitled "International Cooperation against Cybercrime". Professor Huang Zhixiong commented on the current situation and problems of fighting against cybercrime, and he proposed a vision of establishing a new global cybercrime convention, which was highly praised by representatives.
