From April 9 to 10, the second Legal Frontier Forum was held in Wuhan University. Scholars from well-known domestic universities and research institutions gathered to discuss the strategic system supply of the “One Belt One Road” Initiative.
Participating scholars believe that multilateral cooperation mechanisms of the “One Belt One Road” Initiative face complex challenges and risks, achieving mutual benefit and win-win for the "One Belt One Road” requires fixing the rights and obligations of the parties concerned in legal terms, enhancing the predictability and stability of cooperation. Countries along the “One Belt One Road” should work together to build an international treaty system in accordance with the feature of this initiative. During this process, China can start with concept of soft law, and further consolidate China’s institutional say in the world. (School of Law)
