International Issues Experts Explore Asia-Pacific Situation and Sino-US Relations

    From November 2 to 3, the 2015 Annual Conference of Asia-Pacific Society of China and the Asia-Pacific Region under the China-US Strategic Game Seminar were held in Wuhan University.

    Luo Yuting, deputy secretary of Wuhan University, noted that the theme of this conference was Asia-Pacific Region under the China-US Strategic Game, it was conducive to the promotion of international exchanges and cooperation of some relevant disciplines of our university, thus contributing to the development of Asia-Pacific Society of China.

    Then, the participants were divided into group of political security and group of economic cooperation, and delivered keynote speeches respectively. In the first group, the impact of US strategic rebalancing on East Asia, East Asia geo-strategy and great power game, China’s geostrategic choice under the new situation, United States return to Asia were among the topics of discussion. In the second group, participants discussed about the reflections and thinking on the One Belt One Road Initiative, new trend of international trade, the use of economic means to solve political problems, TPP’s impact on international trade, etc.
