Professor FengYoumei was Elected the Fourth Vice President of the Chinese Women’s Research Society

   On August 23, the fourth general meeting of Chinese Women’s Research Society was held in Beijing. ShenYueyue, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC and the Chairman of the National Women's Federation, was elected the fourth president of the Chinese Women’s Research Society. Professor FengYoumei, Executive Vice President of Wuhan University and Director of Women and Gender Studies Center was elected as the fourth vice president of the Chinese Women’s Research Society. Among the nine elected vice presidents of this Society, Professor FengYoumei and Professor Ye Jingyi, deputy Party Secretary of Pecking University, are representatives from higher learning institutions.

    The meeting presented awards and certificates for the winners of outstanding achievements and outstanding organizations for the third Chinese Women Study. And the meeting also launched the "New Century Chinese Women Research Achievements Exhibition". Women and Gender Studies Center of Wuhan University won the outstanding organization award. Associate professor Cui Yingling from the Women Research Center of Wuhan University won the third prize of book category for outstanding achievements with her book Feminine Style: the Practical Logic of Women's Participation in the Construction of Society – the Changes of Gender Relations over the Past Century in Shuanglong Village.
