The 9th Jing-chu Academic Forum was Held Successfully

    On August 24, the 9^th Jing-chu Academic Forum and the 2015 Hubei Province Social Science Research Management Association Annual Conference was held in Enshi, Hubei. The forum was jointly organized by the Hubei Province of Federation of Social Science Circles and Hubei Province of Social Science Research Management Association around the theme of "Think Tank Construction and Prosperous Development of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Hubei". More than 60 people attended this forum, including faculties from higher learning institutions in Hubei Province, superintendents of social sciences academy and social science management work, experts and scholars, and authors of selected essays.

    In this forum, professor XuQingsen, Deputy Director of the Division of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, delivered a keynote speech entitled "reflections on promoting the construction of university think tank". Representatives from 18 universities and research institutes such as Wuhan University expressed their opinions and discussed in-depth on how to implement the spirit of important speech made by general secretary Xi Jinping on the construction of new think tank with Chinese characteristics, and thus promoting Hubei think tank service capabilities.

    Zhou Qingzhang, inspector of the Hubei Province of Federation of Social Science Circles, fully affirmed the development of Hubei Philosophy and Social Sciences and think tanks construction work, and exchanged opinions with participants. Professor ShenZhuanghai, President of the Hubei Province Social Science Research Management Association, Dean of Academy of Humanities and Social Science of Wuhan University, made a summary on this forum.
