On July 4, the Low Carbon Economy Seminar andthe Wuhan University journal (Philosophy & Social Sciences) column-building seminar was convened successfully in the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University. A dozen of experts from Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Jilin University, China University of Mining and Technology and Wuhan University gathered together and debated about China’s energy situation. This seminar was sponsored by the editorial department of the Wuhan University Journal (Humanity Science) and organized by the Climate Change and Energy Economy Research Center of Wuhan University.
Participants expounded how could China address climate change and develop low carbon economy from the perspectives of “building carbon trading system and the boundary between government and market during this process”, “quantitative analysis of the effectiveness of the support policy of renewable energy”, “the conflict between development right and reduction control potential”, “the model evolution of China’s new energy industry agglomeration”, and “climate policy, technology upgrading and environment”.
It is learnt that Wuhan University journal (Philosophy & Social Sciences) has become a cooperation partner of the Climate Change and Energy Economy Research Center of Wuhan University, and a special column of “low carbon economy research” was launched in 2014.
