The Second “Chinese Local Management Forum” was Held in Our University

From June 27 to 28, “2015 Chinese Local Management Forum: Management Theory Innovation in Economic Transformation” was held in the School of Economics and Management. This forum was co-sponsored by the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University and Chinese Journal of Management, and facilitated by Management Department of the Business School of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. This forum attracted the presence of more than 60 scholars from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Renmin University of China, etc. to discuss the construction of local management theories and innovation issues against the backdrop of economic transformation.

Scholars have discussed around the topics of “theory construction of internationalization of Chinese enterprises in the new normal”, “local management theoretical construction in the internet era”, etc. And there are three parallel sessions with the topic of “local theory construction: empirical study”, “traditional culture and the construction of local Chinese management” and “local management theory construction: literature research” respectively. At the end of the forum, scholars also debated about the translation and publication of the book Theory Construction and the cultivation of an academic community for “local management research and theory construction”.
