[Academic Exchange] Scholars Gather at Wuhan University to Discuss Global Trends in Science and Technology Intelligence

On April 26, the “2025 International Forum on Frontiers and Future of Scientific and Technological Intelligence” and the 2025 Annual Meeting of the International Cooperation Committee of the China Society for Scientific and Technical Information were held at Wuhan University. Experts and scholars from 18 universities and research institutions, including Peking University and the University of Hong Kong, gathered to explore international trends in scientific and technological intelligence and to chart new pathways for international collaboration.

Qu Wenqian pointed out that Wuhan University will leverage its strengths in related disciplines to deepen international cooperation, cultivate digital and intelligent talents, and promote cutting-edge research. In the face of challenges in data sharing and international collaboration, the university aims to establish a global platform for exchanges in science and technology information.

In the keynote session, Chen Chuanfu reviewed the history of intelligence studies and its contributions to science and technology work. Liu Xiwen elaborated on the strategic significance, methods, and insights of international cooperation at the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and provided recommendations on global dynamics, enabling mechanisms, contribution awareness, and the concept of sharing.

During a closed-door meeting, participants revised the “Working Regulations of the International Cooperation Committee of the China Society for Scientific and Technical Information” and conducted in-depth discussions on the development of landmark achievements, inter-institutional cooperation, and international talent cultivation.
