On March 21st, Wuhan University held a seminar on the development and policies of the digital economy. The conference was hosted by the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University and the Central China Development Research Institute.
Professor Xu Xianchun, a special researcher at the National Development Research Institute of Peking University, Professor Zhang Yansheng, Chief Researcher of the China Center for International Economic Exchange and former Secretary General of the Academic Committee of the National Development and Reform Commission, Professor Zhao Changwen, Director of the China International Development Knowledge Center, Professor Li Qing, former Deputy Director of the Price Supervision, Inspection and Anti Monopoly Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission, Fan Zhihong, Secretary and Dean of the Party Group of the Wuhan Academy of Social Sciences, and Professor Deng Xiaotie, a Chair Professor at Peking University, Luo Jia Lecture Professor Ai Chunrong, Vice District Mayor of Wuchang District Chen Lei, Chen Yongwei from the Comparative Studies magazine, and others attended the meeting.
At the Digital Economy Development Strategy Forum, Nie Jun, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, delivered a welcoming speech, stating that this forum is of great significance in enhancing understanding of the trends of digital economy development and promoting the development of a modern China.
Experts and scholars such as Xu Xianchun, Zhang Yansheng, Zhao Changwen, Li Qing, Fan Zhihong, Deng Xiaotie, Ai Chunrong, Nie Jun, and others delivered reports on the challenges brought by data economy measurement, the development situation of the digital economy, the theoretical foundation of the digital economy, the normalization supervision of platform economy, the new path of space governance in the information age, algorithmic balance, the economic discipline under the digital economy, and the relationship between digital economy and macro research.
At the round table discussion focusing on the development of the digital economy industry, guests including Chen Lei, Chen Yongwei, Li Ming, Qu Xiaozhi from Alibaba, Sun Ge from Zhejiang Online Commercial Bank, and Huang Minxue from the School of Economics and Management gave speeches and discussions on jointly building a technology innovation platform, the relationship between digital economy development and disciplines, and how digital finance can promote the development of the digital economy.
Song Min, president of the Central China Development Research Institute, put forward the concept of "digital intelligence". He believed that we should use more forward-looking thinking to cope with rapid changes in technology and change, abandon some traditional learning models, and embrace change with curiosity, imagination and critical thinking.
