New Progress has been Made in the Archaeological Research of the Yangtze River Civilization

On August 24, the international academic journalJournal of Archaeological Science: Reports(collected by A&HCI) published online the latest scientific research results of the School of History of Wuhan University and the Yangtze River Civilization Archaeological Institute of Wuhan University.

The title of the thesis is "Compositional study of household ceramic assemblages from a Late Neolithic (5300–4500 cal BP) earthen walled-town in the middle Yangtze River valley of China". Dr. Li Tao, a young teacher at the Yangtze River Civilization Archaeology Institute of Wuhan University, is the first author of the paper, and Dr. Li Tao and Dr. Shan Siwei are the corresponding authors of the paper.

The study of social complication is an important part of the study of the origin of civilization, and it is also a frontier subject of archaeological research. Two anonymous reviewers ofJournal of Archaeological Science: Reportsbelieve that the study compared two households with large differences from the perspective of the chemical composition of daily pottery and thus offered new research approaches.
