Recently, the English academic journalChinese Journal of Environmental Law, which is sponsored by the Research Institute of Environmental Law of Wuhan University and co-published with the world-class academic publishing house Borui, was selected into the Scopus citation database. This is another important progress made by the Research Institute of Environmental Law after theJournalwas officially included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database.
It is reported that the Scopus Citation Database is the world’s largest peer-reviewed academic paper index abstract database, containing more than 24,000 source documents from more than 5,000 publishers in more than 40 languagesaround the world. The database has strict audit standards and will conduct annual review of the included journals. It requires that all the included journals should undergo peer review, have complete academic ethics standards and editing and publishing procedures, and require journals to have a certain degree of academic influence and international visibility in their disciplines. In recent years, Scopus's journal evaluation indicators SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper) and SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) have been widely used in academic evaluation.
Chinese Journal of Environmental Lawis the first formal academic publication of the Chinese environmental law circle. It was officially launched in 2017. Professor Qin Tianbao and Professor Ben Boer from the Research Institute of Environmental Law of Wuhan University serve as co-editors, with top environmental law scholars from all over the world serving as advisory committee and editorial committee. In order to improve the quality of papers and achieve fair selection of manuscripts, theJournaladopts the internationally accepted double-anonymous peer review system. Since its inception, theJournalhas successively published five volumes and ten issues, and has been developed into a window for Chinese and foreign environmental law scholars to conduct dialogue and cooperation as well as an internationally renowned academic exchange platform. In order to encourage academic exchanges and dissemination, theJournaladopts the current mainstream open access publishing model. Any reader can get free access to related articles published byChinese Journal of Environmental Law. Articles will also be searchable in Web of Science and Scopus. Readers are welcome to search and download journal articles.
