On May 28th, Wuhan University held the 98th lecture of the Yangtze River Forum, Professor Zhang Shouwen of Peking University Law School, a doctoral supervisor, the President of the Economic Law Research Association of the Chinese Law Society, and Distinguished Yangtze River Scholar of the Ministry of Education, gave a lecture entitled "Some of the Frontier Issues in Economic Law Theory".
Professor Zhang proposed that the basic system of economic law theory has been established, but there are still many frontier issues worthy of study. Professor Zhang believes that in order to achieve comprehensive modernization, China needs to look into issues of economic law in many aspects. Among them, studies of reform and economic law, the rule of law and economic law are crucial, including the relationship between reform and economic law, between government and the market, and the relationship between economic law and the constitution. Distribution theory, development theory, risk theory, and information theory run through the overall theory of economic law. The five concepts of innovation, coordination, openness, sustainability, and sharing all involve the value and path of achieving relevant goals. And we need to think about how to implement these issues in economic law theory and system.
Professor Zhang Shouwen is a famous economic jurist in China. He was once awarded as one of the “Top Ten Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Jurists in China” and “Chinese Contemporary Legal Master”.
