(Correspondent: Zheng Guan) Relying on the platform of Collaborative Innovation Center for Territorial Sovereignty and Maritime Rights, Professor Ding Huang from the School of Politics and Public Administration and the Chinese Polar Rights and Polar Policy Research Innovation Team led by Professor Ding, have made remarkable achievements in China's polar policy and strategic issues in recent years, and have been thanked through special letters by relevant national departments.
Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a letter to our university, pointing out that Ding Huang and the Chinese Polar Rights and Polar Policy Research Innovation Team led by him have conducted in-depth polar policy and polar governance research and participated extensively in diplomatic activities in the polar region, a large number of papers and research reports have been produced in recent years, thus making positive contributions to the Arctic-related foreign affairs.
As the administrative department of polar affairs in China, Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration of State Oceanic Administration also sent letters of thanks on some occasions to our university and pointed out that Wuhan University was one of the first universities to participate in the Chinese polar expedition, and it was also the one of the earliest important think tanks that engage in polar strategy and strategy research as well as talent cultivation.
