[Project News] Research Proposal Meeting of Prof. Ma Li's Key Project of the Ministry of Education was Held

On the morning of March 11, 2018, Research Proposal Meeting of a key project of the Ministry of Education "China's Financial Openness and Financial Security under the New Normal" was held in the third meeting room of the School of Economics and Management. Professor Ma Li from the Department of Finance of the School of Economics and Management serves as the chief expert of this project.

Wang Peigang, Dean of the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences, pointed out that the major project of the Ministry of Education, led by Professor Ma Li, has been approved, which is of great significance in promoting the development of the financial discipline of our university. It will not only demonstrate the growing scientific research strength and advantages of the financial disciplines in our school, but also will play a strong supporting role in the construction of our school's finance and related disciplines. He also put forward three hopes: First, the team must maintain rigorous scientific research attitude, abide by academic ethics, and carry forward the fine style of study; Second, theoretical researches must be combined with practice; Third, the members of the research team must unite as one and help each other.

At the same time, Vice Dean Li Qingyuan pointed out that the Major Project on Philosophy and Social Science Research of Ministry of Education is one of the most influential project categories in the field of philosophy and social science and has received extensive attention. The School of Economics and Management will give full support to the project, make every effort to do a good job of management services, provide support for the research of the project, and ensure the successful completion of the project. At the same time, it is hoped that the research group will use the research of major project as an opportunity to produce a number of influential and important achievements that will not only better meet the needs of economic and social development, but also make greater contributions to the discipline development of our university.

As the chief expert of the project, Professor Ma Li first elaborated on the current status of China's financial industry opening to the outside world and the importance and necessity of preventing financial risks, and gave further details of the project from the perspectives of research ideas, innovation points, expected research results and expert advice and improvements.

In the end, Professor Ma Li thanked the experts for their valuable opinions and suggestions on behalf of all the members of the project team, and pointed out that they would further improve the research plan of the project in accordance with the opinions and suggestions of experts and strengthen the cooperation and exchange among the members of the research group, so as to complete the project research work with quality and produce high-level scientific research results.
