British Writer Qaisra Shahraz Gave Lecture at the School of Foreign Language and Literature

On December 2, 2016, Qaisra Shahraz, a Pakistani-born British writer, gave a lecture at the School of Foreign Language and Literature.

In her lecture, Saherz shared with us her story related to China, hoped to establish contact with Chinese readers and shared her reading and writing experiences. Because she believed that in literary criticism, readers usually project their own experience, so she hoped to hear the voice of the Chinese readers. At the same time, Shahraz shared her multiple identity that helped her understand human nature and women. She expounded the dilemma of contemporary multicultural shocks on the identity of different groups and introduced that her works have been translated into multiple languages ​​and published in many countries.
