President of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies Professor Moran was Invited to Visit Wuhan University

From 11 to 16 December 2016, Prof. Dermot Moran was invited to visit Wuhan University. He was appointed as an honorary professor of Wuhan University and he gave an academic report for the students and teachers of Wuhan University. Professor Moran is the President of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies, fellow of the Royal Irish Academy of Sciences, professor of Philosophy of the University of Dublin, famous phenomenologist, founder and editor ofInternational Journal of Philosophical Studies.

On December 12, Professor Moran made an academic report on the phenomenology of Maurice Merleau-Ponty in the School of Philosophy. Professor Moran introduced Ponty's life and writings, he believes Ponty's critique of behaviorism is much earlier than psychology's critique of behaviorism and had a major impact on the development of psychology.

On December 15, Professor Moran was appointed as an honorary professor of Wuhan University. Feng Youmei, executive vice president of Wuhan University, presented the honorary letter of appointment to him.

On December 15, Prof. Moran made a presentation entitled "Aristotle's Philosophy: 2400 Years after His Birth" in the old library of Wuhan University. Professor Moran's report is divided into three parts. The first part is about the historical status of Aristotle, the second part is about Aristotle's family and life, the third part is the introduction of Aristotle's ideas.
