Professor Fan Ruguo from the School of Economics and Management was Invited to Attend the 5th China-Latin America High-Level Academic Forum

At the invitation of the Universidad Nacional de Crdoba and Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Professor Fan Ruguo from the School of Economics and Management went to Argentina to attend the 5^thChina-Latin America High-Level Academic Forum from 21 to 23 November 2016 and made a keynote speech entitled "Economic transformation and national governance: the experience and mutual emulation of China and Latin American countries".

The theme of the forum is "Establishment of strategic relations of mutual trust between China and Latin America - further deepening the destiny community". Nearly 30 scholars from China, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Chile, Peru, Spain and other countries attended the forum. Chinese Ambassador to Argentina Mr. Yang Wanming attended the meeting and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and Daniel Marcelo Salador, Vice Governor of Buenos Aires, Argentina, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. The forum was held during President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Ecuador, Peru and Chile and the informal meeting of APEC leaders in Peru. The forum will contribute to the development of Sino-Latin American relations in the new era, further deepening mutual exchanges and strengthen consensus.

In recent years, Professor Fan Ruguo has devoted himself to the study of social governance and low-carbon energy issues by using the complexity theory. He has published a paper in the second issue of theSocial Science in China(English edition) this year entitled "Synergetic Innovation in Social Governance in a Complex Network Structural Paradigm", which has attracted the interest from domestic and foreign counterparts.
