The National Natural Science Foundation of China recently announced that the project “A Reexamination of Law, Finance and Economic Growth: China 's Reform Challenges and the Experiences of Britain and Other Countries”, an international cooperation research project jointly applied by the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University and School of Law of Leeds University, was approved. The Chinese representative of the project is Professor Huang Xian from the Department of Finance and the representative of the British side is Professor G. McCormack from the School of Law of Leeds University. The project is co-funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the United Kingdom Economic and Social Research Council; the funding of the project enjoys the same treatment with that of key national natural science projects.
