Jenny Town from Johns Hopkins University Made a Report on North Korean Nuclear Issue

On October 13, Jenny Town, Assistant Director of US-Korea Institute at SAIS, came to Wuhan University Institute For International Studies and delivered a report entitled "North Korean Nuclear Issue – from the Geopolitical Perspective".

Jenny believes that the North Korean nuclear issue has intensified, and the sanctions imposed by international community against the DPRK did not play an effective role. Despite the United Nations sanctions against the DPRK, the threat of the DPRK nuclear issue will continue; due to the presidential election in US and ROK, it remains a problem whether their policy on DPRK will continue to be consistent; intensified state-to-state conflict has weakened international cooperation on DPRK; the DPRK nuclear issue has triggered a crisis, and all the countries should respond actively and seek solutions together.
