"Chinese Discourse and Discourse China" Forum was Held Successfully

On September 23, "Chinese Discourse and Discourse China" Forum was held in Wuhan University. More than 40 experts, scholars and graduate students from Peking University, Renmin University of China, Sun Yat-sen University, Wuhan University etc. attended the forum.

Professor Yuan Yinchuan of the School of Marxism of Wuhan University delivered a speech entitled “Discourse Superiority and Cultural Self-Confidence”, he pointed out that there are three types of discourse paradigms in China: Neo-Confucian discourse, neoliberal discourse and Marxist discourse. Discourse construction must be based on firm cultural self-confidence; we should speak Chinese and use Marxist discourse. Professor Zhao Shifa of the School of Philosophy of Wuhan University made a speech entitled “Mao Zedong and the Chinese Communist Party's Discourse System”, summing up three enlightenments of Mao Zedong's discourse creation to Chinese discourse: focusing on the change of historical context; paying attention to the construction of discourse subject; being good at occupying the high ground of historical logic and moral logic.
