Social Science Fund Major Research Project Chaired by Professor Chen Jiyong Concluded

 

In April, National Social Science Fund Major Research Project “Strategies and Approaches of China’s Participation in the Global Economic Rebalancing in the Post-crisis Era” (project number: 11 & ZD008), in which Professor Chen Jiyong from the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University serves as the chief expert, was exempted from appraisal and concluded successfully.

 

The project was established at the end of 2011, in recent years, Professor Chen Jiyong led his research team in exploring the strategies and approaches of China's participation in global economic rebalancing in post-crisis era, and achieved fruitful results. They have produced 9 monographs, which were published by China Science Publishing House, Social Science Academic Press, Wuhan University Press; they have issued more than 60 papers and submitted nearly 20 research and consulting reports; national and provincial leaders gave important instructions on their works for 9 times and integrate them into government decision-making; and their achievements won awards for nine times.

 

A series of in-depth researches under this project have been made on the measure, causes, development, influence of the global economic imbalances, G20 and global economic governance, strategies and approaches of China's participation in global economic rebalancing, etc. which will be of important reference value to China’s participation in the global rebalancing in the post-crisis era.
