Fang Qing

Fang Qing was born in 1965, in Qichun county of Hubei Province. Doctor in Management. He now acts as: dean of School of Information Management, Wuhan University; director of Wuhan University Training Base for Advanced Publishing Personnel of General Administration of Press and Publication; researcher of Information Resources Research Center, Media Research Institute, National Research Center of Cultural Innovation, Wuhan University; editor-in-chief of Publishing Journal. 

Research areas: marketing management of publishing, digital publishing, communication of scientific information. Major teaching courses: marketing management of publishing, market research on publishing, research projects on marketing of publishing, etc. He instructs postgraduates and doctoral candidates major in marketing management of publishing and in digital publishing. He has directed over 30 projects, such as projects of National Scientific and Technological Supporting Plan, projects of National Development of Cultural Industry, projects of the National Social Science Fund, projects of National Natural Science Fund, etc., published over 170 academic papers, over 20 monographs (co-editing included), and received five awards, such as National Outstanding Publications (Papers).
