WHU Humanities and Social Sciences Research Major Projects Score Outstanding Achievements

Recently, a total of 242 major projects were approved by the National Social Science Fund in 2016, 9 projects from our university were approved, they are: "Supply Side Structural Reform and Research on the New Power of Development" chaired by professor Ye Chusheng from the School of Economics and Management, "Dynamic Monitoring and Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Precise Poverty Alleviation Strategy Implementation " chaired by professor Xiang Deping from the Department of Sociology, "RMB Joining the SDR, a Basket of Monetary Valuation and China's Macroeconomic Equilibrium Study" chaired by professor Peng Hongfeng from the School of Economics and Management, “A Study on the Competitive and Complementary Relationship of Trade in the Countries along the Belt and Road” chaired by professor Chen Jiyong from the School of Economics and Management, "Study of China's Participation in Making the International Rules of Cyberspace" chaired by professor Huang Zhixiong from the School of Law, “Research on the Emergence, Status Quo and Prospect of Computational Social Science in Big Data Era” chaired by professor Luo Jiaojiang from the Department of Sociology, “Archaeological Findings and Synthetic Study of Remains of Panlong City in Huangpi, Hubei Province” chaired by professor Chen Changping from the School of History, “Study on the Bamboo Slips Unearthed from the Western Han Tomb No. 77 in Shuihudi, Yunmeng County” chaired by professor Chen Wei from the School of History, “On the Integration, Research and Database Construction of Chinese New Poetry Communication (1917-1949)” chaired by professor Fang Chang’an from the College of Chinese Language and Literature.

47 philosophical and social sciences major projects of the Ministry of education were officially approved in 2016, among which 4 are the projects of our university, namely: "Study on Ocean Development Strategy of the World Ocean Power " chaired by professor Hu Dekun from Institute for International Studies, “Research on the Construction of China 's National Security Legal System” chaired by professor Zhou Yezhong from the School of Law, “Study on the Effect Evaluation System of Legal System” chaired by professor Jiang Guohua from the School of Law, “Strengthening the System and Mechanism of Party 's Leadership over University” chaired by professor Huang Jianjun from the Institute of Education Sciences.
