[Journal Development] Annual Evaluation and Exchange Meeting on the Development of International and Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journals Held at Wuhan University

To continuously promote the high-quality development of humanities and social sciences journals, the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University recently convened the 2024 Annual Evaluation and Exchange Meeting on the Development of International and Chinese Journals. Heads of relevant departments, expert reviewers, and journal editors and core staff participated in the meeting.

During the session on international journals, journal editors presented annual reports on aspects such as editorial team structure, review and editorial workflows, notable achievements, and emerging opportunities and challenges. Many international journals demonstrated remarkable progress in terms of academic impact, increased publication output, and ongoing optimization of peer review and publishing models.

Wuhan University places strong emphasis on the development of humanities journals by providing comprehensive support in terms of policies, funding, and administrative services. By continuously improving evaluation mechanisms, holding editorial-in-chief meetings, and organizing editorial events, the university has effectively enhanced internal and external collaboration and created a favorable environment for journal development, ensuring a healthy overall development of humanities journals.
