"2014 Report on the Ideological and Political Education Development of University Students" Released

On May 16, "2014 Report on the Ideological and Political Education Development of University Students" conference and 2015 Ideological and Political Education Development Forum was held in our school. It was jointly organized by the Wuhan University Marxist Theory and Chinese Practice Collaborative Innovation Center and the Chinese Students Ideological and Political Education Development Research Center of Wuhan University.

Professor ShenZhuanghai, Dean of the Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University, delivered a keynote speech. According to survey, 91.7% of college students are willing to participate in volunteer activities such as disaster relief, support education in mountain areas and engage in environmental protection; 83.1% of college students take part in public welfare activities every year on average. Over 92% of the students think that the "Lei Feng Spirit" is not out of date, 91.6% of the students express their willingness to lend a helping hand to an old man who falls down. Survey results show that contemporary college students still respect dedication and "Lei Feng Spirit", they show a positive attitude and a strong sense of social responsibility, and they demonstrate a social morale of dedication and responsibility.
