[Team Project]Wuhan University Granted National Social Science Fund Special Research Team Project on Rare Studies

The National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences recently released the list of approved projects for the 2023 National Social Science Fund Research Project on Rare Studies. Professor Liu Guosheng from the School of History and Center of Bamboo Silk Manuscript of Wuhan University is leading the project titled "Research and Database Construction of Ancient Chinese Funeral Documents on Bamboo Slips". The project, undertaken by the Wuhan University Bamboo Slips Research Team, has been granted approval as an academic team project.

The project aims to systematically organize and study unearthed funeral documents on bamboo slips, promoting the digitization of information related to funeral documents on bamboo slips through tasks such as sequence restoration, text annotation, and comprehensive interpretation.

This special research program focuses on supporting rare and profound studies that hold significant value for national development, cultural inheritance, and cultural security. Our university has been approved for this special research team project for two consecutive years, which is of profound significance in establishing a structurally reasonable talent team and contributing to the cultural heritage and development system with distinctive characteristics of Wuhan University.
