Li Long's New Book Sorts Out the Development of Chinese Jurisprudence

Li Long, a senior professor of humanities and social sciences at Wuhan University, wroteThe History of Chinese Jurisprudenceand this new book release was held in Beijing on May 11.

Li Long’s new book systematically expounds and interprets the theory and historical facts of the development of Chinese jurisprudence, and draws on, inherits and sublimates the experiences of ancient Chinese jurisprudence in governing the country, and summarizes the experiences for the past 70 years since the founding of New China, especially the past 40 some years since the start of reform and opening up.

It is learnt that by using academic language, academic methods, academic norms and academic writing, the book has comprehensively sorted out the representative figures, major events and major theories in ancient Chinese jurisprudence, contemporary Chinese jurisprudence, modern Chinese jurisprudence from the perspective of academic research, it has systematically categorized and reviewed the legal thoughts, legal systems, and legal concepts of different eras, and many important academic discoveries have been put forward, and attempts have been made to reveal the inherent laws of the development of Chinese jurisprudence from history.
