WHU China-India Boundary Issue Research Center Unveiled

On the afternoon of April 19, the unveiling ceremony of the China-India Boundary Issue Research Center of Wuhan University was held at the China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies.

At present, the overall development of Sino-Indian relations is good, but the Sino-Indian boundary issues have always been a complex and highly sensitive issue in bilateral relations, requiring intellectual support of experts and scholars.

The Center will focus on the history of Sino-Indian boundary disputes and issues of international law, the control and negotiation of Sino-Indian boundary disputes, and the study of maps related to the Sino-Indian border.

The Center relies on the platforms of the China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies, the Collaborative Innovation Center for Territorial Sovereignty and Maritime Rights, and it is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Wuhan University. With joint efforts made by experts and scholars in this field, studies on China's Sino-Indian boundary issues will be further promoted, which will be a respond to national needs.
