Professor Wang Xiaoguang was Invited to Serve as a member of the International iSchool Alliance Curriculum Design Committee for Digital Humanities

Recently, Professor Wang Xiaoguang, Director of the Center for Digital Humanities of Wuhan University, was invited to serve as a member of the International iSchool Alliance Curriculum Design Committee for Digital Humanities.

It is reported that the Committee is one of the two major professional teaching committees established by the International iSchool Alliance. It is dedicated to the teaching of digital humanities, which is an emerging field of iSchool. It undertakestaskssuch as the establishment of teaching objectives, formulation of syllabus, design of teaching curriculum, recommendation of teaching materials and so on. The committee is chaired by Professor Marcia L. Zeng from the School of Information, Kent State University, USA, and Professor John A. Walsh from the College of Library and Information Science, Indiana University. The Committee is composed of well-known university scholars from the Americas, Europe, Asia and other regions.

iSchool is an international alliance of top information schools, which is composed of more than 90 well-known university information schools or library information departments in more than 20 countries and regions around the world. The iSchool Alliance advocates an interdisciplinary perspective to understand the opportunities and challenges of information management and is committed to research and practice centered on information, technology and people.
