[Scholar News] Professor Wu Dan from the School of Information Management Attended the Digital Library Committee Meeting of the Association for Computing Machinery

On January 30, 2019, Professor Wu Dan of the School of Information Management of our university, a member of the Digital Library (DL) Committee of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), was invited to attend the working meeting of the Committee at the ACM headquarters in New York, USA. The committee consists of 20 plus experts and scholars from the digital library research field in the United State, the United Kingdom, etc.; Professor Wu Dan is the only representative of China.

During the meeting, Professor Wu Dan participated in the discussion of the status quo, business model and future development of the Association for Computing Machinery, and exchanged views on the priorities, potential research projects of ACM DL. Views and ideas were also exchanged on the future work of the Committee as well as how to improve user engagement with ACM DL.

The meeting summarized and reflected on the current model of the Digital Library Committee of the Association for Computing Machinery, and extensively discussed future plans, providing guidance for the development direction of ACM DL.
